The 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT and You

When we here at Tameron Hyundai think of the Hyundai Elantra, we think of versatility, and the South Korean automaker really knows how important that aspect of a vehicle is. In the form of a compact sedan, hatchback, and coupe, the Elantra is the only vehicle to offer such a range under a single moniker.

Though, today, we'll discuss the hatchback variant, called the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT. In its fifth generation, the Elantra has certainly come a long way and the design of the GT leaves a strong impression. An over-sized grille, prominent wheel arches, smooth lines and creases, and a short body - 9 inches shorter in length than the sedan - keep it looking quite unique in the hatchback category. The inherent additional cargo and passenger space of a hatchback along with plenty of comfort make the GT an incredibly attractive car.

Under the hood, you'll find a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with a feisty 148 horsepower and 131 lb-ft of torque; perfect for those daily commutes. Transmission choices are either a six-speed automatic or manual. Gas mileage comes out to an incredible 27 mpg in the city and 37 on the highway; you'll be pulling over for more bathroom trips than gas fill-ups on those long road trips.

Of course, there's still plenty more to learn about the 2013 Elantra GT.
