The 2013 Hyundai Sonata had a Great Year

The past year of 2012 was really interesting. While the Mayans may not have been correct about the world ending there are certainly more than enough reasons to celebrate. Here at Tameron Hyundai we also have plenty to celebrate. We managed to break several records in terms of sales for many of our new Hyundai models.

Many of our Hyundai models set sales records this year and we're proud to announce that our 2013 Hyundai Sonata is one of them. Our favorite mid-sized sedan managed to break its previous sales record with more than 225,961 units sold as of December.

So what caused the such a stellar year for the 2013 Hyundai Sonata? John Krafcik, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor America explains his theory on our most popular mid-sized sedan success, "Sonata's redesign in early 2010 demonstrated that mid-size sedans that paired bold design and fuel-efficiency with long-time segment essentials such as roominess, safety and durability could really break through. We'd like to think Sonata helped spur on the latest generation of bolder mid-size sedans…"1.

Here at Tameron Hyundai we know that our customers' needs are different and we offer many different trims and power trains of our popular 2013 Hyundai Sonata. This played a huge difference and could possibly be a major factor as to why the record breaking sales year occurred. The main trims and powertrains are the GLS, SE, Limited and Hybrid. The 2013 Sonata Hybrid made up eight percent of the trim style through the month of November. The GLS was the most popular at 52 percent and the Limited came in second with 22 percent. Lastly the SE made up the remainder at 18 percent.
