Hyundai Offers Optional Michelin Pilot Super Sport Summer Tires on 2013 Veloster

Hyundai knows that drivers who are considering the Veloster hatchback want to get the most out of it. It's part of the reason why a turbo version was recently developed. Of course, those who've already taken delivery of a new Veloster don't have the option to upgrade directly to the turbo, which is why Hyundai is offering another performance-driven option that both current and future owners can appreciate.

And what would that be, you ask?

"We heard the appeal from opinion-leading media and purist enthusiasts," explains Mike O'Brien, Vice President of Corporate and Product Planning for Hyundai Motor America. "They told us that as good as Veloster is, the suspension calibration and especially the new powertrain of the turbo model screamed for even more outright grip to satisfy enthusiast buyers."1

Simply put, Hyundai is planning to offer a new optional package that includes Michelin Pilot Super Sport summer tires. The package can be equipped on either the 2012 Hyundai Veloster or its Turbo trim, so long as they're equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels. In total the new package adds roughly $1,200 to the vehicle's existing price.
