Improvements to the Hyundai Genesis Coupe Slated for 2013

In case you haven't heard, the Hyundai Genesis Coupe is in for a redesign in the 2013 model year, and the Korean automaker is planning to officially unveil it at the Detroit Auto Show, this January.  There's been heavy speculation as to what this return to the drawing board means for the 2013 model. Some think it could be cosmetic in nature, while others are hoping that it's more performance-driven. Tameron Hyundai, however, has great news: It's both!

Following some leaked photos, which outline the 2013 Genesis Coupe sporting a stealthy and daring exterior redesign, some new details are now making their rounds on the web concerning what's under the coupe's fresh, new hood. More specifically, the vehicle's two engine options gain some horsepower and torque, which is always welcome. But, the real heavy-hitting stat is seen in the transmission, and more specifically, in its number of speeds.

While previous iterations of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe have featured either a five- or six-speed transmission, the 2013 model is set to feature a newly-developed eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, those who prefer to stick to a manual gear box can opt to keep its current six-speed manual as well. In other words, there's performance for everyone in next year's model.

Those of you who simply can't wait for next year, however, are more than welcome to come take the current 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe for a test drive today by contacting us or by visiting us at 1595 Montgomery Hwy.
